Sustainability Report
ITLAS has built its corporate development and image on a lifestyle that merges with and penetrates Nature to seek the wellbeing that is also adopted ever more frequently by architects and designers. For this reason the company has decided to draw up a Sustainability Report as an instrument with which to communicate to ITLAS stakeholders the annual results of its performance in terms of sustainability.
Sustainability Report 2023Since the previous edition, ITLAS has integrated the provisions of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which imposes higher standards for sustainability reporting, by expanding the concept of materiality to include the ‘outside in’ perspective.
ITLAS has chosen to base its reporting on the Sustainability Reporting Standards issued by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), updated in 2021 and used for Sustainability Reports published from 1 January 2023.
The company has strengthened processes to identify and manage its risks related to ESG factors and assesses these risks with a scoring and relevance system to ensure long-term sustainability.
ITLAS uses these analyses to identify relevant sustainability issues. ‘Dual materiality’ allows for an assessment of both the company's impact on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues (‘inside out’) and the effect these ESG issues may have on the company (‘outside in’).
ITLAS uses the Voluntary Standard for SME (VSME) for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to voluntarily draw up a sustainability report in line with the ESRS guidelines, although not obliged to do so by the CSRD.
ITLAS has mapped its main stakeholders (employees, customers, local communities, suppliers, trade associations and regulatory bodies) and maintains an ongoing dialogue with them through its official website, newsletters, social media and participation in trade fairs and events.
