Next Monday, November 18th, the 2020 edition of the Prize Compraverde Buygreen Veneto will be presented in Venice, at the Polyfunctional Hall of the Palace of the Region. “Towards a regional plan for Circular Economy” will be the theme of the day dedicated to promoting the initiative, organized by Veneto Region.
For the third year, contracting firms and construction companies will be concurring to win the prestigious award, aimed at fostering environmental sustainability criteria, which should bring forth the systematic use of environment protection strategies in organizational, management and qualification processes of suppliers.
For contracting firms, the Prize will focus on those boards that adopt the Code of Contract and who distinguished themselves for actively contributing to promote green supplies, sure of the strength of this policy in reducing the impact of their activities on the environment and on people’s health. Thus supporting, spreading and giving more value to the best experiences of Green Public Procurement of Veneto’s territory.
The Prize reserved to construction companies has been organized with the cooperation of Unioncamere Veneto, Confindustria Veneto, CAN Veneto and Confartigianato Veneto – its aim is that of increasing, spreading and awarding the best experiences of processing and product, based on sustainable development, respect for environment and social responsibility. An award for all those companies that are particularly committed to developing sustainable products.
Itlas- who won the second edition of the Prize for companies, as it was standing out for its standards aimed at environmental sustainability, with particular attention to the whole product life cycle – will bring witness in the workshop scheduled for the second part of the day.
